Layman’s 10 Commandments 平信徒的十誡

1. Prayer is not a “spare wheel” that you pull out when in trouble, but it is a “steering wheel” that directs the right path throughout the journey.
2. 禱告是人生旅途中，一直引導我們走上正路的方向盤，並不是遇到困難時才裝上去的備胎。

2. So why is a Car’s WINDSHIELD so large and the Rear View Mirror so small?  Because our PAST is not as important as our FUTURE.  So Look Ahead and Move on.

所以何以車子前面的檔風玻璃是那麼大，但後照鏡卻那麼小呢？因為我們的過去並不像那麼未來重要。所以，正視前方，挺進！

3. Friendship is like a BOOK.  It takes a few minutes to burn, but it takes years to write.

友誼就像一本書。幾分鐘之內就可以燒掉，但卻是要花好幾年的時間才能完成的。

4. All things in life are temporary.  If going well, enjoy it, they will not last forever.  If going wrong, don’t worry, they can’t last long either.

一生中的所有的事情都是是暫時的。所以，如果事情平順，不妨樂在其中，但它們不會持久。如果不順利，也無需擔心，因為它們同樣也不會持續很久。

5. Old friends are like GOLD!  New friends are Diamond!  If you get a Diamond, don’t forget the Gold!  Because to hold a Diamond you always need a base of Gold!

老朋友就像黃金，而新朋友則像鑽石。當你得到一顆鑽石的時候，千萬不要忘記黃金！因為鑽石需要有黃金當基座才能撐得住（鑽石都是鑲在黃金基座上）。

6. Often when we lose hope and think this is the end, GOD smiles from above and says, “Relax, sweetheart, it’s just a bend, not the end!

往往當我們失去盼望，認為這就是盡頭時，神卻從上頭微笑的說：輕鬆點，甜心，這只是彎路，不是盡頭。

7. When GOD solves your problems, you have faith in HIS abilities; when GOD doesn’t solve your problems HE has faith in your abilities.     

當神解決你的難題時，是你對神的能力有信心；而當神沒有解決你的難題時，就表示神對你的能力有信心了。

8. A blind person asked St. Anthony, “Can there be anything worse than losing eye sight?”  He replied, “Yes, losing your vision”.

從前一個盲人問聖安東尼說，“會有比失去視力更糟的事情嗎？“他回答，”：有，就是失去了你（人生）的異像“。

9. When you pray for others, GOD listens to you and blesses them, and sometimes, when you are safe and happy, remember that someone has prayed for you.

當你為別人禱告時，神會垂聽並祝福他們。當你平安快樂時，要記得是因爲已經有人在為你禱告了。

10. WORRYING does not take away tomorrow’s TROUBLES, it takes away today’s PEACE.

憂慮並不會消除明天的困難，但會帶走今天的平安。
